What is PriceDiff?

PriceDiff is a free tool that shows you the price history of products on Amazon India, Flipkart, Myntra, and Ajio. Paste any product link and you will see how its price has moved over time, the all-time lowest price we have recorded for it, and whether today's price is actually a good deal.

Who runs PriceDiff?

PriceDiff is built and operated by Karthik, based in Bengaluru, India. It is an independent project — not a company-owned product, not a venture-funded startup, and not affiliated with any retailer. The site is run as a single-operator product with a small infrastructure footprint, which keeps editorial calls independent and the running costs low enough to keep the service free for users.

Why we built it

Online prices in India swing constantly. A product marked "70% off" might have cost the same selling price last month. "Deal days" like Big Billion Days and the Great Indian Festival can feature prices that are not actually the year's best. PriceDiff exists to give shoppers an honest, data-backed answer to the question: is this price actually good?

We do this by recording the price every time someone looks up a product, then showing the full history on a chart. No retailer-supplied "MRP", no marketing "discount %", just the actual selling prices we have observed.

Who is it for?

Anyone who shops online in India. No sign-up, no paywall. Amazon links on the site use an affiliate tag, and the site carries advertising (Google AdSense) to help cover server costs — neither of these changes the price you pay anywhere. We do not up-sell, and we do not fake discounts.

How the data is collected

Every price you see on PriceDiff is something we observed from the public product page on the marketplace listed. We do not licence data from third-parties, and we do not estimate prices we have not actually seen. The full methodology is on the methodology page.

Independence
