Summary
PriceDiff does not require you to sign up or create an account. We don't sell your personal data and we don't build a personal profile of you. The site is supported by advertising (Google AdSense) and uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site.
What we collect
- Search activity. When you look up a product, we record the product URL, the marketplace it came from, and the time of the lookup.
- IP address. Your IP is briefly associated with your lookups for abuse prevention and rate limiting.
- Product data. When you paste a product link, we record the product's public details (name, image URL, price reading).
What we don't collect
- Names, emails, or phone numbers. We don't ask for them.
- Precise location. We don't use geolocation APIs.
- Payment details. We don't sell anything directly.
Advertising — Google AdSense
PriceDiff uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Analytics — Google Analytics
PriceDiff uses Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymous usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Cookies
PriceDiff itself does not set any first-party cookies for tracking. However, Google AdSense and Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Data retention
Price history is kept indefinitely, because it's the point of the service. Lookup activity is retained only as long as needed to operate the service and prevent abuse; we don't sell or share it.
