Editorial Standards

Independence

PriceDiff is an independent project. It is operated by Karthik, based in Bengaluru, India. We are not owned by, controlled by, or otherwise affiliated with Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio, or any other retailer or platform. We do not take instructions from any retailer about which products to display, in what order, or with what verdict.

No paid placement

We do not accept payment in exchange for ranking, featuring, or highlighting any product, brand, or merchant. The order of products on our "Top Deals", "Lowest Price Ever", category, and merchant pages is determined entirely by our price-history data and not by any commercial relationship.

Verdicts on product pages are computed from the same public formula described on our methodology page. We do not adjust them for any commercial reason.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links on PriceDiff — primarily Amazon India product links — carry an affiliate tag that earns PriceDiff a small commission if you buy something on the retailer. We use this to cover server costs and continued development. This does not change the price you pay anywhere, and it does not influence which products appear on the site or how their prices are displayed.

If we ever begin to receive direct sponsorship, paid placement, or any form of commercial consideration that could influence what you see, we will disclose that change here and on the affected pages, in plain language and before the change takes effect.

Advertising

PriceDiff displays third-party advertising through Google AdSense. Advertisements are served by Google and are not curated by us. Ad content is independent of the site's editorial content: products and merchants featured in ads are not given preferential treatment in our rankings, verdicts, or price-history displays.

Source data integrity

Every price displayed on PriceDiff was observed by us from a public product page on the marketplace listed. We do not invent, interpolate, or estimate prices we did not actually observe. If we have no recent reading for a product, we say so on the page — we do not paper over the gap.

Editorial content (blog and guides)

Articles in our blog are written by named authors. Each post lists the author and the date it was last updated. The claims in those articles are based on our own price-history data and on publicly verifiable industry information.

We do not run sponsored posts, and we do not accept payment to write favourably (or unfavourably) about any brand or retailer.

Privacy and user data

We do not require sign-up. We do not sell user data. The data we do collect and how we use it is described in full on our Privacy Policy.
